Festival of Trees is the Friday (11/22)

By Trish Johnson Nov 20, 2024 | 6:46 AM

The Festival of Trees, hosted by the Lakes Crisis & Resource Center (LCRC), is one of Detroit Lakes’ most festive annual events, and this year’s edition promises to be no exception. On Friday, November 22nd, at the Holiday Inn, the event kicks off at 5:30 PM and will feature a delicious meal, a bar, a silent auction, and games of chance. The centerpiece of the evening is the live auction of beautifully decorated Christmas trees. This tradition draws the community together and raises funds to support the vital work of LCRC.

The Lakes Crisis & Resource Center provides a wide range of services, including advocacy, intervention, and education, for individuals and families facing domestic violence, sexual assault, and other crises. Programs like Mary’s Place, their emergency shelter, and crime victim advocacy services are key resources for fostering safety and hope in the region.

Attendees at the Festival of Trees can expect an evening filled with holiday spirit, stunning decor, and opportunities to give back to a crucial cause. Tickets are $50, with proceeds directly benefiting the LCRC’s programs and services.
