Nov 18, 2024 | 7:42 AM

The Canadian Pacific (CP) Holiday Train, a cherished tradition for 26 years, is set to bring its festive spirit to Detroit Lakes on Sunday, December 15, 2024. Arriving around 2:45 p.m., the train will feature live holiday music performances until 3:15 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items or monetary donations to support the Becker County Food Pantry.

Since its inception in 1999, the CP Holiday Train has traveled across Canada and the United States, spreading holiday cheer and raising funds and food donations for local food banks. The train is adorned with thousands of LED lights and includes a boxcar stage for live musical performances, creating a moving holiday celebration that brings communities together.

Over the years, the CP Holiday Train has raised millions of dollars and collected substantial amounts of food for local food banks, making a significant impact on communities along its route. The event not only provides entertainment but also emphasizes the importance of supporting those in need during the holiday season.
