The Laker football team’s record dropped to 3-3 for the year after suffering a 35-9 loss to the Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton Rebels on their home field.
The Rebels never trailed in the game, amassing over 275 yards rushing on 43 carries as a team. Casey Maczieweski was their leading rusher, scoring four touchdowns and rushing for over 125 yards. Kade Swenson also scored a touchdown and finished with over 100 yards rushing.
The Lakers’ only touchdown was from Caden Strand, who stepped in at the quarterback position and ran for a 51-yard rushing touchdown. They also earned two points on a safety against the Rebels punt unit.
The Lakers will aim to bounce back next week when they travel to Little Falls. DGF improved to 3-3 for the year, and they will return to action next week at home when they host East Grand Forks.
