A potato truck accident in Otter Tail County on Wednesday, October 2, resulted in the driver being airlifted for medical treatment. According to the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Department, the crash occurred around 1:36 p.m. as the truck was heading north on County Road 113. The driver failed to make a turn near County Road 23, causing the truck to roll and spill its load of potatoes.
Emergency responders arrived to find the vehicle on its side, with the driver trapped inside. Rescue efforts were quickly underway, and the man was freed from the wreckage. Life-saving medical procedures were performed at the scene before he was airlifted to Sanford for further treatment. The truck sustained significant damage in the crash.
