Becker County Board Votes to Reconsider Toad Mountain Park

At the October 1st Becker County Board meeting, commissioners voted 3-2 to reconsider the Toad Mountain Park project, contingent upon an anonymous donation of up to $250,000. This donation would cover the county’s share of the $2.5 million land acquisition. Commissioner Barry Nelson emphasized that without the full donation, the project will not proceed. A $52,000 portion of the donation will fund the park’s master plan. Commissioners John Okeson and Dave Meyer supported the decision, while Erica Jepson and Richard Vareberg opposed it.
