Detroit Lakes Volleyball Dominates St. Cloud Apollo in Impressive Victory on Senior Night

Detroit Lakes , MN (KDLM)-

The Laker Volleyball team had a convincing victory on Tuesday night at home against the St. Cloud Apollo Eagles, winning in straight sets 25-11, 25-4, and 25-7. This win came after a previous loss to Perham the night before. The Lakers win will help in both the section and conference standings as St. Cloud Apollo is both a section and conference opponent. The win brings DL’s section play record to 2-1 and their Central Lakes Conference games record to 3-3. Overall, the Lakers are now 9-10.

It was also senior night, where the team honored eight seniors: Logan Fredrickson, Hailey Thielen, Addie Wills, Annie Braaten, Mamie Hunter, Jadyn Wimmer, Sophie Kalina, and manager Brynn Gaffney. The team will be back in action on Thursday, taking on another conference opponent as they travel to Brainerd.
