The Laker football team secured a 34-6 victory against Thief River Falls on the road, rebounding from their first loss of the season. They never trailed in the game and improved to 3-1 for the year. Quarterback Caden Strand led the way for Detroit Lakes, scoring three rushing touchdowns and throwing a touchdown pass to Dawson VonRuden.
Next week, the Lakers will be back at home to host Morris Area for their homecoming game. Meanwhile, Thief River Falls, now 0-4 for the year, will play on the road against East Grand Forks.
