A tragic incident occurred early Tuesday morning, south of Shakopee, where a man lost his life after being hit by an SUV. According to authorities, the Minnesota State Patrol responded to the scene just after midnight on Highway 169 near Louisville Township. The crash happened when the 36-year-old man from Plymouth, driving a Mitsubishi Lancer, veered off the road, causing his car to roll into the ditch.
After the crash, the man exited his vehicle and walked onto the highway, where he was struck by a Mazda CX-9 driven by a 44-year-old woman from Henderson. The woman was not injured in the incident. The identity of the man is expected to be released by authorities later today.
