Two people were injured in a motorcycle crash in Forest Township, Becker County, on Sunday afternoon. The accident occurred around 12:15 p.m. on Minnesota Highway 113 when 59-year-old Harvey Johnson of Roseau lost control of his motorcycle and veered into the ditch. Both Johnson and his passenger, 57-year-old Monica Johnson, also from Roseau, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Sanford West Hospital for treatment.
The Minnesota State Patrol’s investigation revealed that both individuals were wearing helmets at the time of the crash, and alcohol was not a factor in the accident. The road conditions were reported to be dry, which suggests that other factors may have contributed to the crash. The investigation remains ongoing, but initial findings indicate that the crash was a result of losing control while navigating the highway
