A 20-year-old woman from rural White Earth, Kaylynn Lea Jackson, is facing a felony third-degree assault charge in Becker County District Court. The charges stem from an incident on June 17 in Ogema, where a special agent from the White Earth Police Department found a woman with significant injuries, including blood on her face, arms, and shirt.
Court records indicate that Jackson, along with another woman, was involved in the assault, which reportedly occurred in retaliation for a previous incident on June 16, where Jackson’s sister required hospitalization.
During the investigation, Jackson admitted to the assault, acknowledging her role in the incident.
Jackson was released on June 20 without bail under standard conditions, including no contact with the victim. She is scheduled to appear in court again on September 9 before District Court Judge Michelle W. Lawson.
This case continues to develop as the legal process unfolds.
