Moorhead police are investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred early Sunday morning on the 1000 block of 3rd Avenue North. Officers found a male victim with a wound from a sharp instrument. He was transported to Sanford Hospital, where he later died. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending family notification.
A person of interest, 47-year-old Connie Joe Frank, was arrested and is currently detained. She is being held in the Clay County Jail on a charge of second-degree murder. Authorities assure there is no ongoing threat to the community as the suspect and victim knew each other. The MN State Patrol, Clay County Sheriff’s Office, and Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension are assisting with the investigation.
