Bagley Man Charged with Assault on Emergency Personnel

 Red Eagle Goodwin of Bagley faces felony charges for assaulting hospital emergency personnel in Detroit Lakes. On July 28th, White Earth police officers arrested Goodwin in rural Becker County due to an outstanding warrant from Mahnomen County. Transported to St. Mary’s Essentia for a possible overdose, Goodwin became combative and kicked during transport. Once handcuffed to an emergency department bed, he continued to struggle and kicked the treating physician in the head. Goodwin is now charged with felony assault.
