Festival Alcohol Violations and Incidents Report

On the opening day of a local festival, law enforcement officers issued citations to 22 minors for consuming alcohol. Two of these incidents also involved charges for fleeing a peace officer on foot.

 

The first incident occurred at the festival grounds at 11:18 a.m. An 18-year-old male from International Falls, Minnesota, fled the scene when officers arrived to address a disturbance call. He was apprehended and cited for minor in possession and fleeing a peace officer on foot.

 

The second incident was reported at 11:55 a.m. at a nearby campground. A 19-year-old male from Richmond, Minnesota, ran when officers arrived. He was later caught and cited for consumption, possession of liquor, and fleeing a peace officer on foot.

Additionally, a medical call was logged at 10:31 p.m. involving an adult male concertgoer who appeared to be under the influence of an illicit substance and was having difficulty standing.

 

A minor accident occurred between a golf cart taxi and a motor vehicle at Lake Sallie Campgrounds. There were no reported injuries from the collision.

 

Lastly, dispatchers received three 911 hang-up calls throughout the day.
