The candidate filing period for several key City Council positions in Detroit Lakes and Becker County will open on Tuesday, July 30, at 8:00 a.m. and run through 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 13, 2024.
**City Council Positions Open for a 4-Year Term Starting January 2025**:
– Mayor
– Council Member First Ward
– Council Member Second Ward
– Council Member Third Ward
– Alderman at Large
**Becker County Positions**:
– Various county offices including County Commissioner and Soil and Water Supervisor are also open for filing during this period.
