Three Killed, Three Injured in Central Minnesota Crash

Three people were killed and three others critically injured in a head-on crash in Cass County early Sunday. The State Patrol reports the crash, which occurred around 12:30 a.m. on 24th Street Southwest near Pine River, may have involved alcohol.

A westbound pickup truck collided with an eastbound car. The car’s driver, Royal Noe, 39, of Hillman, and passengers Heather Ceballos, 50, and Corey Peterson, 36, both from Brainerd, died. A fourth passenger and the truck’s two occupants sustained life-threatening injuries.

Minnesota traffic fatalities in 2024 have exceeded 110, compared to fewer than 80 at this time last year.
