This Thursday, Jessica Charles is the featured speaker at the Teach Haiti 17th annual gathering.  Haiti has long been suffering civil unrest, violent dictatorship and historic levels of natural disasters.  We will be covering the story of Haiti for the next 3 days leading up to the presentation on Thursday at Holy Rosary Church.  The public is invited to hear from Ms Charles and the founder of Teach Haiti, Miquette McMahon.  Come to hear the latest updates.  The presentation begins at 5:30pm until 7.  You are invited to listen and participate in the discussion.

We begin a special three-part series on the critical situation in Haiti Haiti is currently facing an unprecedented crisis. Since the assassination of President Jovenel Moïse in 2021, the country has seen a dramatic surge in violence and instability. Over 300 criminal gangs control large portions of Port-au-Prince, leading to severe disruptions in daily life, widespread displacement, and a collapse of essential services. The United Nations reports that over 5.5 million people, including 3 million children, need urgent humanitarian assistance.

Stay tuned tomorrow as we delve deeper into the specific challenges and how local organizations are making a difference.
