A Dickinson, N.D., woman, Leah Elna Studsrud, 35, was unharmed after her Chevy Suburban veered off East Lake Lizzie Road and ended up in the lake on Monday afternoon. According to the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred around 5:33 p.m.
Studsrud was driving southbound when her 2015 Chevy Suburban she ended up in the lake on the north side of the road. Emergency responders found the vehicle unoccupied, with Studsrud unharmed and unimpaired, thanks to her seatbelt. The Suburban, which sustained over $1,000 in damage, was removed from the lake, and no citations were issued.
The Pelican Rapids Fire Department and Ringdahl Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.
