Detroit Lakes Police Respond to Vandalism Spree

Over the weekend, the Detroit Lakes Police Department responded to ten calls regarding vandalism on the east side of town. Starting Saturday, June 15, at 1:32 PM, reports included homes and vehicles being hit with eggs and other condiments like ketchup and mayonnaise along Pembina Trail, Corbett Road, Lori Avenue, East Shore Drive, and Jackson Avenue.

Police Chief Steve Todd emphasized the seriousness of these acts, noting that penalties depend on the damage caused. A suspect vehicle was reported, and investigations are ongoing.
