(Fergus Now) – The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s office has declared the $1,679.04 that the Central Lutheran Church in Pelican Rapids has been billed for is a scam. Back in January of this year the church received a bill, from what they believed to be AT&T for a new iPad. The church thought it was a scam until they received a notice letter in March saying that the debt would now be going to collections. The church now goes through the steps to stop this scam and has filed a fraud report with AT&T. The sheriff’s office is still investigating, but information is limited.
