(MNN) St. Paul, MN – The Minnesota Senate floor last Friday debated aspects of launching of the cannabis industry. A bill, sponsored by The Office of Cannabis Management is a policy bill. People applying for a cannabis license must receive pre-approval before they can begin planting. Senator Lindsey Port of Burnsville says early cultivation will help operators prepare for retail sales in 2025. The bill also includes rules for issuing cannabis business licenses, packaging for adult-use products, and other logistical issues for the Office of Cannabis Management.
