(www.dl-online.com) – On March 16th Becker County Dispatch received a call about a vehicle swerving, speeding and then slowing down again on Highway 10 to Highway 59 intersection in Detroit Lakes. A deputy saw the vehicle described in the call and watched the driver randomly brake, nearly stopping on 2 occasions. As the vehicle approached Highway 34 the deputy conducted a PIT maneuver forcing the driver to stop. The driver refused to step out of his vehicle and the officer smelled alcohol. About 2 hours after the driver, Arjen Jovanny Zeledon Moreno, 26 of Detroit Lakes was pulled over his blood alcohol was determined to be at twice the legal limit, showing a .19% concentration. Moreno does have another DWI-related arrest culminating in the loss of his license from 2022. His next court apearance is scheduled for May 13th.
