Otter Tail County Press Release 5/1/24
Otter Tail County Workforce Summit brought together nearly 100 people from all over the county and the state to combine forces creating innovative solutions for the current workforce crisis. The Workforce Summit included presentations from employers, workforce agencies, non-profit organizations, and the Community Development Agency (CDA). Guest speakers from Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED), Center for Rural Policy and Development, Minnesota State Community and Technical College, and others joined presentations about a variety of employer resources and partnership opportunities. Otter Tail County Deputy Administrator Nick Leonard said of the summit presentations, “Attendees heard more about solutions than challenges. That was intentional. We are all part of the solution, whether that means developing employee training, addressing barriers to employment, or creating welcoming workplaces.” All presentations were recorded and can be viewed on Otter Tail County’s YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/OtterTailCountyMN
