FERGUS FALLS, Minn. – After 18 years of dedicated service, Sue “Ellie” Ellis is retiring from her role as Traffic Director at Leighton Media in Fergus Falls. Ellie began her radio career in 2006 on the KJ Country Morning Show before Lakes Radio was acquired by Leighton Media. Transitioning from on-air and commercial personality roles, Ellie found her passion in radio traffic. Her favorite memory at Leighton was when she moved into the role of Traffic Director, a position she had aspired to for years. Reflecting on the changes in the industry, Ellie fondly remembers the more hands-on approach to traffic directing before digitization took over. In retirement, Ellie looks forward to spending more time with her grandsons and supporting them in their sports endeavors.
