The Rural Health Advisory Committee, acting on the recommendation of Governor Walz, has welcomed two community leaders to its ranks. Amanda Schermerhorn of Detroit Lakes and Lisa Stroscheim of Frazee have been appointed to the committee. Schermerhorn’s dedication to advocating for the developmentally disabled community earned her the invitation to serve. Stroscheim, bringing her expertise in addressing health disparities through community organizations, fills a newly established seat aimed at enhancing attention to this critical area. The Rural Health Advisory Committee, tasked with advising the state health commissioner and other agencies on rural health matters, looks forward to benefiting from their contributions.
