MINNEAPOLIS – The Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA) is providing free and confidential tools to help farmers, producers, and livestock producers navigate business and financial challenges this spring. MDA Spokesperson Meg Moynihan, who is also a farmer, acknowledges that while many farmers remain optimistic about the future, they are recovering from a challenging year in 2023. For immediate support with issues like depression, anxiety, stress, or any other problem, farmers can call the Minnesota Farm and Rural Help Line at 833-600-2670. They can also text “FARMSTRESS” to 898211 to get started. The MDA is committed to supporting farmers and ensuring they have access to the resources they need during difficult times.
