FERGUS FALLS, Minn. – On Saturday afternoon (April 13th), the Fergus Falls Police Department received a concerning 911 call reporting a body in the river at Broken Down Dam. Officers quickly responded to the scene and discovered, to their relief, that it was actually a mannequin propped up in a chair. Officials noted that they had received a similar report earlier this year, but the mannequin was frozen in the river at that time, making it impossible to remove. This time, however, the mannequin was successfully taken out of the area. The incident serves as a reminder to always report suspicious sightings, as it’s better to be safe than sorry.
