WINONA, Minn. – In a heartwarming gesture, the Kiwanis Sunrisers Club of Winona has brought joy to over 800 students by providing them with new books and lunch bags. This initiative, part of the Sunrisers Children’s Service project, aimed to support Pre-K and Kindergarten students in the Winona Area Public School district, including those in public, private, and charter schools. Over the past few weeks, members of the Kiwanis Club visited classrooms to distribute these gifts, ensuring that 803 students could take home something special. This annual outreach effort not only provides essential items but also demonstrates the club’s commitment to supporting education and the community’s youngest learners.
