We apologize to Northfield High School and coaches. We first reported a few days ago that this was a Northfield High School Wrestling coach. That was incorrect. Here is the correct information below:

NORTHFIELD, Minn. – A Northfield wrestling coach, Jesse Graber, is facing multiple abuse charges, with court documents revealing disturbing details of his alleged actions. Graber, 48, is accused of using physical punishment on athletes, including beating an 18-year-old with an electrical cord and a child with a belt. Court records indicate that in October 2023, Graber allegedly “whipped [the 18-year-old] with a vacuum cord” for hours, leaving numerous marks and causing significant skin damage. In February 2024, another report surfaced, alleging that Graber abused a child, reportedly angered by the child’s performance in a wrestling match.

The victim stated they would enjoy sports more if they did not fear being disciplined for their performance. Additionally, Graber faces charges of violating a no-contact order, with reports indicating that victims were reluctant to report due to fear of retaliation. Following an investigation, USA Wrestling revoked Graber’s membership, and he is not eligible for reinstatement. The case underscores the importance of ensuring a safe and respectful environment for athletes in all sports.
