ST. PAUL, Minn. – St. Paul police are investigating a sexual assault that occurred after a man broke into a home in the Macalester-Groveland neighborhood. Police responded to a report of a sexual assault at a home on the 300 block of Snelling Avenue South just before 4:30 a.m. on Monday. The victim reported that she was sleeping when she heard pounding on the side door. The suspect forced his way into the home, robbed the victim, and then sexually assaulted her at gunpoint. The suspect fled the scene, and the victim called 911. She was taken to the hospital for evaluation. The suspect has not been found, and no arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to call police at 651-266-5685.
