A Foley couple, Ian Anthony Stocco and Jessica Leigh Stocco, are facing legal trouble with the Minnesota Department of Revenue for allegedly failing to file income tax returns. The Ramsey County Attorney’s Office has charged the Stoccos with six felony counts each of willfully failing to file individual income tax returns. Authorities claim that between 2017 and 2022, the Stoccos were aware of their obligation to file income tax returns but failed to do so, despite earning enough income through Ian’s business to require filing and tax payment. The Department of Revenue asserts that the couple owes over $129,000 in income tax, interest, and penalties.
Each tax-related felony charge carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison, a $10,000 fine, or both.
