WINONA, Minn. – Police were called to the Market Street Tap on Friday following reports of a man waving a gun around. An officer, who happened to be near the bar, quickly arrived at the scene around midnight, according to a Winona Police spokesperson. Officers located a man with a gun in a nearby alley, who claimed he was hit in the head when he walked into the bar. The man, who has a legal permit to carry a firearm, stated that he never brandished the gun at the bar.

Despite questioning individuals at the bar, conflicting statements made it difficult to determine what had occurred. Additionally, bar employees informed officers that the business does not have any security cameras. No arrests were made, and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
