ST. PAUL, Minn. – After the recent resignation of Col. Matt Langer, the Minnesota State Patrol has announced Interim Col. Christina Bogojevic as its new colonel, effective May 2. Department of Public Safety Commissioner Bob Jacobson praised Bogojevic’s 20-year tenure with the State Patrol, highlighting her leadership and dedication. Bogojevic has been serving as second in command since December 2022. “I am confident she will continue to make a positive impact within the State Patrol and communities across our state,” said Jacobson.
Bogojevic, who joined the State Patrol in 2003, has held various roles within the organization, including captain of the Rochester district, mobile response commander, and crash reconstruction specialist. Expressing her passion for the State Patrol’s mission, Bogojevic emphasized her commitment to working with staff and allied agencies to enhance roadway safety and address the increase in traffic fatalities this year compared to last year. She also aims to innovate in trooper recruitment and retention efforts.
Bogojevic had been serving as interim colonel after Langer’s departure to join the International Association of Chiefs of Police.
