Child Injured in St. Paul Shooting, Police Investigating Incident

ST. PAUL, Minn. – A young boy was injured in a shooting incident in St. Paul on Saturday night, according to the St. Paul police. The incident occurred around 11 p.m. on the 1400 block of Case Avenue East, where shots were fired into a home. The boy, believed to be around 9 years old, was struck in the ankle and was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police recovered shell casings from outside the home and are currently investigating the incident. No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.

This incident comes just a week after another shooting involving a child in St. Paul. In that case, an 11-year-old boy was shot in the head by a 13-year-old girl, leading to criminal charges against the gun owner, who is also a convicted felon prohibited from possessing firearms. The 13-year-old girl was also arrested in connection with the shooting.
