FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota Republican convention faced turmoil during the endorsement of a U.S. House candidate. Public Service Commissioner Julie Fedorchak and Alex Balazs were nominated, but many delegates wrote in former Rep. Rick Becker, causing ballots to be spoiled. After two failed votes, Fedorchak withdrew, and Balazs received the endorsement. The convention ended late, with voters now deciding in the June 11 primary.
