ALEXANDRIA, Minn. – Starting this Monday, motorists traveling on Interstate 94 between Osakis and Alexandria should be prepared for lane closures in both directions. The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) announced that crews will be installing traffic control devices, replacing guardrails, and setting up crossovers for an upcoming concrete resurfacing and bridge replacement project on westbound I-94. In early May, once the crossovers are in place, westbound traffic will be shifted onto the eastbound lanes while crews work on the westbound side. This traffic configuration will remain in place through November, with one lane of head-to-head traffic in the project area. For more information on traffic detours, road construction projects, and closures, visit the MnDOT website.
