ST. CLOUD, Minn. – A tragic domestic dispute in St. Cloud resulted in the death of a man and left a woman injured from multiple gunshot wounds. According to the St. Cloud Police Department, the incident occurred Wednesday night at a home in the 600 block of Wilson Avenue Southeast. Police responded to a report of multiple gunshots just before 7:30 p.m. and found the 34-year-old woman in the front yard with multiple gunshot wounds. She was rushed to St. Cloud Hospital and is currently in serious but stable condition. The suspect, a 35-year-old man, was found dead inside the home from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Investigators determined that there was a domestic dispute between the suspect and the victim, who shared children and lived together in the home.
Fortunately, the children were inside the home during the shooting but were unharmed. The suspect allegedly shot the victim in the entryway and front steps area of the home, with a doorbell camera capturing 13 gunshots. The Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office is conducting an autopsy on the man’s body, and his identity has not been released. The case is still under investigation, and authorities have indicated that more information will be provided later.
