ST PAUL, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) has unveiled its ambitious construction agenda for the state’s roads and highways. The agency revealed over 200 construction projects, including 193 road and bridge initiatives. An additional 54 projects are slated to enhance airports, railroad crossings, and other transit-related areas. MnDOT Commissioner Nancy Daubenberger emphasized the importance of cautious driving in highway work zones to reduce accidents and injuries during the upcoming construction season.
Starting next Monday, weather permitting, motorists traveling on Interstate 94 between Osakis and Alexandria will encounter lane closures in both directions. MnDOT crews will be installing traffic control devices, replacing guardrails, and initiating the construction of crossovers for the forthcoming concrete resurfacing and bridge replacement project on westbound I-94.
