ST. PAUL, Minn. -A St. Paul man has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder with intent for fatally stabbing his wife during a Bible study in March 2023. Robert Castillo, 40, changed his plea from not guilty to guilty according to court documents filed on March 18.

The incident occurred at Castillo’s sister’s house, where the couple attended a Bible study. Witnesses stated that Castillo and his wife, Corrina Woodhull, were behaving normally until Castillo whispered something in Woodhull’s ear. Woodhull shook her head, and Castillo proceeded to stab her about 20 times before family members intervened.

Woodhull was found bleeding from multiple stab wounds and was pronounced dead at the hospital. Castillo is scheduled to be sentenced on June 24th.
