Search efforts are scheduled this weekend for a missing Maple Grove teenager, Winston Drepaul, also known as “DeeDee” or “Dez.” Volunteers discovered a jacket on Friday, prompting the search. Authorities urge the public to avoid the area for now.
Winston, 18, has been missing for nearly a week, last seen leaving his home without belongings or medication early on March 23. Concerns about his well-being have grown due to the length of his absence, his need for medication, and weather conditions.
He is described as five-foot-ten-inches tall and 150 pounds, wearing a black puffy winter coat, gray sweatpants, and black boots when last seen. Winston left his apartment near Lakeview Drive North around 4:30 a.m. on March 23 and was spotted later near the Maple Grove Community Center.
Police ask residents to report any sightings of Winston and urge anyone with information to call 911 or contact Maple Grove police dispatch at 952-258-5321. Community members can join the search at 2 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, meeting at the Maple Grove Community Center parking lot.
