“The Jackson Roeder Memorial Fund and CentraCare Team Up to Promote 988 Suicide Lifeline”

In memory of Jackson Roeder, who tragically died by suicide in 2017, his father Scott Roeder and the Jackson Roeder Memorial Fund, along with the Central Minnesota Suicide Prevention Coalition, have launched a campaign to raise awareness about the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. They have distributed 77 banners to schools and community spaces across Central Minnesota.

The banners serve as a reminder that dialing 988 connects individuals to trained professionals who can provide support and assistance to those facing mental health challenges. Similar to 911, the 988 lifeline is available 24/7 to offer help and hope to those in need.

These banners can be seen at various locations, including schools in Albany, Annandale, Becker, Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa, Big Lake, Eden Valley-Watkins, Foley, Holdingford, Kimball, Melrose, Monticello, New London-Spicer, Paynesville, Rocori, Royalton, Sartell, Sauk Centre, Sauk Rapids, as well as at the College of Saint Benedict, St. Cloud Cathedral High School, Lincoln Center, Place of Hope, St. Cloud Rainbow Wellness Center, St. Cloud Area School District, St. Cloud State University, St. Cloud Stand Down, St. Cloud Technical College, St. Cloud YMCA, St. John’s Preparatory School, and Saint John’s University.
