Both women allegedly involved in the tragic crash of their car into an Amish buggy in Fillmore County are now facing charges. Sarah Peterson is scheduled to appear in court today, joining her sister Samantha, who was previously charged in connection with the incident that claimed the lives of two Amish girls and injured two others.

At the crash site, Sarah initially claimed to be the driver, but investigators determined through the criminal complaint that it was actually her twin sister, Samantha, who was behind the wheel. The complaint alleges that Samantha was under the influence of methamphetamine and driving at a high speed. Both sisters have extensive criminal records, including previous convictions for providing false names to law enforcement. Sarah is facing 16 charges and will be in court today for a bond hearing.
