A recent accident in Douglas County resulted in injuries to five individuals. The incident, which occurred on Tuesday night, involved a Honda van traveling eastbound on I-94. The van veered off the roadway, overturned, and finally came to a stop in the right ditch. The crash took place in Orange Township.
Fortunately, the driver of the van, identified as Nicole Gineman, 36, from South Elgin, Illinois, escaped injury. However, five passengers, ranging in age from newborn to 16, sustained injuries and were promptly transported to Alomere Hospital for treatment.
Authorities reported that the road conditions at the time of the accident were challenging, with snow and ice covering the roads.
