The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is once more advising caution on all icy water bodies. The caution follows an incident on Friday where an ATV and cargo trailer plunged into the Rainy River in northern Minnesota. Fortunately, all seven individuals involved in the accident were able to safely reach the shore.
The DNR emphasizes that conditions across the state are in a state of constant flux, with rivers being particularly unpredictable. They stress the importance of verifying ice thickness before venturing onto frozen lakes or rivers.
