Gunshots rang out during a high-risk search warrant operation by the Grand Forks Police Department in a residential area. Police and the Grand Forks Regional SWAT team were at the 3300 block of Primrose Court around 2:00 p.m. on March 22 when they encountered the suspect, resulting in gunfire.
Following a brief exchange, authorities took the suspect into custody without any injuries reported to the suspect or officers. Police have assured the public there is no ongoing threat. The Bureau of Criminal Investigation is taking over, and the public is advised to avoid the south loop of Primrose Court.
