By Paul Torres Mar 21, 2024 | 4:30 AM

Two vehicles collided at a railroad crossing in Buffalo, ND, on March 20th, at 9:35 A.M., resulting in a T-bone crash. The BNSF Ford F250 Rail pickup was traveling westbound on the tracks when it was struck by a southbound GMC. Despite the presence of stop arms and lights at the crossing, they were not activated at the time of the incident, possibly due to the BNSF high rail vehicle not triggering the safety devices.

The driver of the Ford sustained minor injuries and was taken to Sanford Hospital, along with all three occupants of the GMC. Emergency services from Page, Casselton, and Sanford Ambulance collaborated to transport the injured to the hospital. The North Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
