A Kenworth semi-truck collided with a Chevrolet Silverado early Saturday on Interstate 94 in Silver Creek Township near Hasty, resulting in one fatality. The tanker driver, from Spring Valley, was unharmed. The pickup driver, 81-year-old Dennis Fred Wendell of North Oaks, was killed in the crash. Wendell was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision. Emergency responders from CentraCare Ambulance, Clearwater Fire, North Air Care, and the Wright County Sheriff’s Office also attended the scene.
