ST. PAUL, MN. – Minnesota Governor Tim Walz wants Minnesota to get a little more love – in relation to tourism and drawing bigger headliners to the state, that is!  On Tuesday, Gov. Walz and Explore Minnesota kicked off a new multi-platform campaign called Star of the North, in the hopes of attracting guests from around the world and recruiting top talent to Minnesota. “As a top state for quality of life, health care, and business, we’re investing in a tourism and talent attraction campaign to promote Minnesota on a global stage,” said Gov. Walz. “We’re also aiming to attract skilled workers to support our nation-leading health care, manufacturing, and technology sectors. Whether you’re visiting as a tourist, searching for a job, or looking to relocate, there are opportunities for everyone in Minnesota.” The dual tourism-talent attraction campaigns hope to boost Minnesota’s current place on folks’ “Must Experience” travel lists straight to the top. The campaign also will promote Minnesota’s standing as one of the strongest labor markets, continuing to skip ahead of the nation in job growth. The new ads will run in 22 states, Washington, D.C., and Canada.
