DULUTH, MN- Law enforcement executed a search warrant early Monday morning. The subject of the warrant was wanted for Parole Violation, Possession with Intent to Deliver Fentanyl, and five counts of Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person, authorities say. Members of Lake Superior Violent Offender Task Force served the warrant at an apartment complex in northwestern Duluth. The raid led to the discovery of a kilogram of compressed fentanyl, crack cocaine, methamphetamine, a loaded pistol, and evidence of drug sales. Investigators also intercepted a parcel sent through mail that contained a compressed kilogram of cocaine. As a result of the drug discovery, authorities detained 43-year-old Diaunte Shields without incident.  The news release says Shields had $33,555 in cash, multiple fake ID’s and fake documents on his person. He was booked into the St. Louis County Jail around 6 a.m. Monday. He’s being held without bail.
