“We are going to be able to take the strengths of both organizations and utilize them as a stronger single entity,” YMCA of Cass and Clay Counties CEO Steve Smith said. Both boards voted unanimously in favor of the merger, according to a release from the YMCA of Cass and Clay counties. Members in both communities can expect a “greater variety of programs and services,” the release states. The YMCA plans to release more information including further details on the merger.
