Lakers host Bemidji and DGF Tuesday night in a wrestling Tri-Angular

Detroit Lakes , MN (KDLM)-

The Detroit Lakes Lakers hosted Bemidji and DGF Tuesday night in a wrestling Tri-Angular at the Lakeshirts Fieldhouse.  DL took on Bemidji, from Section 8AAA, The Lumberjacks built and early 12-0 lead, before the Lakers Marcus Pozega got a forfeit win and later Beau Somdahl scored a 12-2 Major Decision, for the only wins in a 63-10 victory for Bemidji.  Then Bemidji took on DGF, the Rebels had a 19-0 lead before Bemidji started to get on the board, getting to within 28-24, before DGF finished off a 37-30 win.  The Lakers then hosted the Rebels in the third and final matchup of the night.  DGF built an early 21-0 lead before ther Lakers Everett Northrup scored a pin at 133lbs, followed by Jeremy Linn’s 4-2 victory at139lbs and then Beau Somdahl finished off an upset victory over #10 ranked Austin Lenhart at 145lbs, in a 9-7 overtime win.  Then HWT Will Martin finished off the night, with a 7-0 victory, to make the final score DGF 48-15 over the Lakers.  The Lakers will host their Final Tri-Angular, netx Tuesday 2/6, taking on UNC and UCB at 5pm on KRCQ and then will close out the regular season on Thursday 2/8 at Frazee on KRCQ at 7:30pm.
